silent video number three

the waterfall.

for this third final cut i used video captured from the waterfall. when filmed up close the vibrating pool of water created a very interesting pattern so i distorted it to create an even more almost psychedelic feeling.

silent video number two

the carousel.

for this second final cut i used the images captured from both the carousel and the aviary as well as video i captured on the playground from my first trek. all of these videos capture circular kinetic movement and are cut together rapidly to show the intensity of these movements.

silent video number one

the duck.

for this first final cut i chose to use the video captured of the duck. to emphasize the vibrating kinetic movements of the duck i have literally added a bird's eye view of the duck's journey.

rough cut sketch number five

monday, october 22nd
1:46pm

for the fifth rough cut i captured video from the mold-o-matic machine from my first trek. once money is inserted into the machine it begins to vibrate as the wax animal mold is being created between the plates. there are also gauges on the bottom left of the machine that display the temperature of the process, the needles on these gauges also seem to vibrate back and forth while the mold is being made.

rough cut sketch number four

monday, october 22nd
11:30am

for the fourth rough cut i captured video of a pool of water vibrating as water from a waterfall above hit it. the camera has been turned vertically to distort the excitement of the water.

rough cut sketch number three

monday, october 22nd
11:22am

for the third rough cut i collected images in a similar circular way kinetically in an aviary.

rough cut sketch number two

monday, october 22nd
1:33pm

for the second rough cut i thought it would be interesting to kinetically capture the movement of a carousel that wasn't moving at all by collecting a series of images wrapping around the entire outside of the carousel.

rough cut sketch number one

monday, october 22nd
11:10am

for this first rough cut i followed the movements of a duck. both strategies seemed to come into play here as you can see how the duck moves kinetically and almost vibrates as it walks with its waddle as well as how its head vibrates back and forth searching for something.

image capturing strategy number two

for my second strategy i will collect only images and video of things moving kinetically or of the camera moving kinetically.

image capturing strategy number one

for my first strategy when collecting images and video i will collect only things that are vibrating.
